Yum Cha Dim Sum Fest 2015
Attention DIM SUM fans! The Yum Cha Dim Sum Fest is back. This Cantonese mid-morning food custom is linked with the Chinese custom of tea tasting, which is where Yum Cha comes from as it literally translates into “drink tea”.
The food event is organized and put on by Spotlight City Events, whose mission is quite simple; put on food events they themselves would like to attend, keep the lines short, the food exceptional, and create a fun atmosphere. After a successful 2014 Yum Cha Dim Sum Fest, the people have spoken and have been granted with a 2015 edition.
The event consists of traditional Dim Sum essentials (fried and steamed dumplings, buns, and all of your other assorted savory small plates) with a Toronto twist. This is just in time to ring in the Chinese New Year, which takes place on February 19th. Below are the event details.
